TRUE INK
While managing the Wooster Street Social Club, Robear Chinosi became frustrated with the business side of the tattoo world. After the last season of NY Ink, he decided he was ready to take on a different form of management by opening an art agency for tattoo artists who are ready to catapult their artistic careers into the world of fine art. Launching Robear’s artist agency TRUE INK, is no easy undertaking. In his new role as an art agent, he has to play middle man between two polar opposite worlds. Often, his lackadaisical artists have a hard time adjusting to the upper-crust world of NYC’s extravagant art galleries. Curators are easily perturbed by Robear’s tattoo artist clients who are often untimely, unkempt, and totally untamable. Cory Good, Joe Black and Emilia Berry make up an eccentric group of tattoo artists (well, not according to Emilia) who are pitted against each other to develop artwork for RoBears celebrity clients as well as stepping on each other to get their works of art sold. This unique show blends high octane personalities, conflicted artists, and backstabbing, cutthroat drama as RoBears tries to keep the peace while his stable of artists claw their way to the top.
