12 HRS. TO LIVE is a race against time to save animals on death row with 12 hours to live!

With a nationwide army of volunteers, our team races the clock to save animals on death row.  Each series starts with a time clock showing 12 hours from which volunteers must first find a foster home, set out a rescue plan, execute on that plan by getting to the shelter before time is up, and then ultimately finding an adoptive home for the animal, all while time is running out fast.

This fast paced series follows a volunteer organization that was started in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and has evolved into a dramatic animal rescue organization. Its' mission is to save the lives of dogs and cats that have been abandoned to die in shelters and place them in loving and permanent homes. On a daily basis, they respond to email and phone pleas for help from all over the country to save dogs and cats imminently slated for euthanasia.

The volunteers face many and sometimes heartbreaking obstacles on each rescue, including car crashes and trouble, bad weather and entaglements with law enforcement as they race against the clock to rescue animals from their death sentence.
